The translator [Nicholas Carr (1524-68)] was successively member of Christ's, Pembroke, King's, and Trinity Colleges, and was among the earliest Fellows of the last-named (in 1546). He was M.D. in 1558, and Regius Professor of Greek (1547-1549). The translation of Demosthenes was printed in 1571 by Th. Bing, London, in 4to. What is said to be the translator's autograph is in the University Library (Dd. 4. 56). See Tanner, Bibliotheca Britannica, p.155.
