Written in lettre bâtarde 16-line pictures intended, but not executed, before arts. 3, 5, 6 (ff. 10, 38, 48v) and before the memoria of St Martin on f.79; so too, smaller pictures before the other memoriae (arts. 7, 10) and before art. 8 (cf. also art.1)
Initials: (i-iii) 3-line, 2-line, and 1-line, in grisaille on grounds of decorated gold paint. A broad framed floral border the height of the written space in the outer margin of all pages where there was to be a picture and on some other pages: twenty-eight of them remain.
1. ff.1-6v Calendar in gold, blue, red, and black, the three colours alternating for effect.
'Sancti laudi episcopi, .Mat' ' and 'Dyonisii episcopi' in gold, 21 Sept and 9 Oct. 'Dedicacio ecclesie Const' ', 12 July. 'Reliquiarum constan' ', 30 Sept, with octave. Each month is laid out in two columns and occupies the last seventeen lines on the page. The upper 55 mm on each page were probably intended for a double picture of the occupation of the month and sign of the zodiac, but remain blank.
2. ff.7-9v Sequentiae of the gospels.
The prayer 'Protector in te sperantium …' follows John.
3. ff.9v-14 Passio domini nostril iesu cristi. Secundum Iohannem. Egressus est … posuerunt iesum. Deo gracias. Oremus. Deus qui manus tuas …
St John, chapters xviii, xix. ff. 14-16v were left blank.
4. ff.17-37v Hours of the B.V.M., beginning imperfectly and lacking many leaves. Hours of the Cross are worked in.
5. ff. 38-48v Penitential psalms and (f. 43v) litany.
Ursinus is listed as a disciple. Twenty-two confessors: … (6-9) Sanson germane audoene gerobolde. The lists of martyrs, confessors, and virgins end with three blanks, only 'Sancte' ('Sancta') being written.
